All newcomers to this thread - please read:
Microsoft has killed your Skype phone. It will never work once more. The money you accept spent on your Skype phone, your similar equipment (similar the FreeTalk), your wiring and your Skype-in number is now lost. MS (which owns Skype) has trashed your investment. Family unit and customers trying to reach yous cannot go through. This is Non an exaggeration.
In addition, Microsoft gave you NO warning that y'all would lose your incoming telephone service last month or your approachable phone service this by week.
Please take the time to read this thread in greater detail.

You lot are right; no wonder I can't log in from my Skype phone either. I can still receive calls from my Skype-In number, but only on the PC and non on the dual phone. If I use the PC to brand a phone call to someone, and they think later, I have to be at my PC to receive the call. And so why has Microsoft done this? Has anyone managed to speak to them most this problem?
Tin they actually be that callous to shut down a favorite communication tool, with no explanation or advance notice?
Does anyone know of a similar service to the "Sometime Skype" that we can all switch to? What does Apple accept, for instance?

Nosotros have moved to Google Vocalism with an OBi200 every bit the replacement for our Skype and ConnectMe FreeTalk. It seems to be working well, just at a minimum yous volition have a new outgoing telephone number from Google Vocalization.
(From a PC, nosotros set our Skype account to forward incoming calls on our onetime Skype-in number to our new Google Vocalization number. If you don't do that, you must requite the globe your new GV number as your new incoming tel number. We may "port" our quondam Skype-in number to Google Voice after - it'due south not like shooting fish in a barrel and MS has done nothing to get in piece of cake.)
Obihai also sells more than consummate phones on its web site, but we have not tried them.

Yep real good I just need a U.s. phone number now...in ****** France. And so the google thought is nigh every bit much good as a chocolate tea pot!
... I am looking for something else that is portable, ok for fixed something like the onetime proper skype. They practise not want the people who exercise it for nought they want big bucks. Well MS information technology is not going to happen. You will have to realise that little people work for bigger companies and if they experience uncomfortable with something they will, eventually stop using it!

I totally agree that MS respond is completely defective the bones respect they owe to their customers.
No prior advice about this!? How hard was it for them to find out which sessions were using these rtx phones?
This is is a complete joke, as is the latest version of skype for win10 btw.
I want my rtx telephone to work every bit information technology used to, i dont want hear any excuse from anybody from MS.
If service is not restored, they ll lose 9 customers merely in my close family. I estimate we'll all go to facetime, that is all.
I cant remotly brainstorm to understand how the answer from MS in a higher place is fifty-fifty possible. If someone of my team had answered half of it to a customer, he wouldnt have finished the day.

You can dispose of your Dual Phone as Microsoft have withdrawn their back up! Information technology's a disgrace that user'southward of Skype ( I have been with them for thirteen years ) have been treated so shoddily. These phones are still being sold at full price past the likes of Chat Vision to people who are non aware of the present situation. I clinch yous that Microsoft don't give a damn!!

I take been a skype customer for several years at present and I accept bought a phone rtx 4088 that I really like simply unfortunately I tin can not speak more on this device, which is making me worried because I spent plenty money to have these handsets and now I tin not apply them, Message that is OUT OF LINE, I am not liking this, I want to know how to solve this trouble, I contacted here in Brazil with the support staff, just they practise non know to respond anything about, my fear and to have been discontinued, if this I happened to cancel my subscription, because it was expensive to buy these handsets and now I'thou going to be left with this whole prejudice, I call back that skype could non do this with customers, causing damage in this way. I hope to go along using my device .. I await an URGENT respond from skype .. otherwise I will have to cancel the subscription every fourth dimension.

Cheers for your question, to request a refund you would need to follow the instructions in this FAQ. Customers non eligible for a refund under our standard refunds policy maybe able to still claim a refund where the dual phone or ATA was the only device they used.

I have ii Belkin Desktop Skype Telephone which was worked earlier July 2017. Merely information technology can't access Skype account. It ever said Network error Please try again! I did cheque my network anything fine excluded Skype Telephone. My skype account can login in mobile phone and spider web account. Please tell me what happen!

I have checked my internet connections - all OK.
The problem is my handset keeps going online and offline without me doing anything. I've rebooted router and base station but the problem continues. I take a connection symbol on handset all the fourth dimension but cannot hold the connected status long enough to make whatever calls.
